Default Diversity of Raleigh/Durham/CH vs. Charlotte?

Hi everyone, I'm looking @ grad schools in the areas of Durham/CH (UNC, Duke) but then I am also looking @ UNC Charlotte? Basically, I wanted to hear from NC residents on how diverse the cities of Charlotte & the RTP (Research Triangle Park) are? Thanks for the help everyone...
