Smile Safe-Warm stable weather -No natural disasters ?? can i find

Dear All ,

Its My first time at USA from Egypt , i asked about best places to start a life and raise a family , many people recommended NC

but out of wide variety of cities i wish that i can find a place that relatively meet following conditions

1-To Be Very safe and accept foreigners like me from middle east

2- Dont have frequent natural disasters ( Hurricanes-Quacks-Tornado)

3-Preferably have warm weather far from heavy snow and frequent showers

4-Affordable housing and good income

5-Near to industry and preferably aerospace and aviation where i work

I know that might be hard to find but i am sure your assistance will help
to find best combination of all those advantages

Thanks a lot

Moheb

Based off your requirement for aviation & aerospace New Bern/Havelock (Cherry Point MCAS, home of NADEP, largest employer east of raleigh and mostly aviation), Raleigh (Research Triangle Park), Fayetteville (Pope AFB), Goldsboro (Seymour Johnson AFB).

Every area in the world is going to have some weather events. However, you might want to look at Raleigh and the area around Research Triangle Park (RTP). Out of the places in North Carolina it fits all your criteria.

Also try Greenville and Hickory for safer smaller towns, there would be a commute for you for work, but not too bad. Also Chapel Hill and any of the Research Triangle (Except Raleigh itself and the Durham area) would be pretty good places to look also.

And pray tell, why not Raleigh or Durham? We wouldn't have RTP (oh, and no one lives 'in' RTP by the way) without Raleigh and Durham and they can be very safe and accepting of minorities and Middle Easterners.

Depends on the your definition of warm I guess, but the average high temp in my hometown at it's lowest is about 56 degrees.

The biggest consideration is actually rain and hurricanes for living in the coast, but thats typical from Florida through N. Carolina, and the Gulf Coast for that matter.

Eyptian2009, honestly, the place in the US that most matches your requirements is Southern California. One of the suburbs of San Diego, maybe. Though then, depending on where you live, you have wildfires and rock slides.

You can check the historical climate summaries for various NC cities and towns here:
