Qs about Goldsboro (extended stay, apartment, crime rate)

Hi

Im a 26 year old medical student and Im being sent to Goldsboro to work at Cherry hospital for 6 weeks. Since I will be living there by myself, I had a few qs regarding the city

1. what is the area around cherry hospital like?
2. is Goldsboro ethnically diverse or should I be worried?
3. what is public transportation like? especially to and from the hospital
4. what is the crime rate like?
5. any suggestions on where I should be living?
6. would you recommend I live at a hotel/motel for 6 weeks.

Look for an extended stay hotel...cheaper and you would have a kitchen area for snacks and such.

Sorry I don't live near there so I can't say much about what the city is like. I do know it is near a military base though so should be diverse.

"Sometimes" area's near bases have higher crime rates but again I am not speaking from my own experience. Just based on what I have seen in some other area's.

2. Yes, Not sure what you would be worried about "being" or "not being" diverse?
3. Probably none. You will need a car.
4. seems to be growing but most areas are fine. You can't miss the rough areas of town.
5. and 6. Your best bet is an extended stay hotel. I doubt you will find a apartment for that short a time.
