questions about fayetteville area..please help
Can someone tell me a safe area of fayetteville, my boyfriend will be stationed at Bragg and i want an apartment within 10 mins of base maximum. I have lived in los angeles so im not too afraid but id like my car to be safe when I park it at night and not be worried it will be gone when I wake up LOL (an LA fear) Can someone recommend apartments that are nice maybe a little more upscale closer to base around 800 tops for a 1 bedroom? What about ones with names starting iwth reserve LOL not sure if i can say thier name but they are on lexi lane near n reily and cliffdale road is near? I noticed alot of apartments in this area and they look nice..Is this area safe? I dont know ....HELP! LOL Oh and we have no kids
Thanks!!

The ones you hinted about are pretty nice. The complexes that are along Cliffdale are all pretty good.
My family has been staying in a safe modest 2 bedroom apartment complex till out new house gets built. It is called Cliffs of Rockfish. It is only $650 a month. Lots of military folks live here but is is about 20 miinutes to post.

Depends on where you move to consider "safe" there's areas of town to avoid....Grove st area, Murchinson Rd, Bonnie Doone area (by Powers-Swain Chevy)...
Car thefts do/have happened in town, unsure of how often...I know one guy got his car stolen out of the parking lot with a tow truck. Depends on what you have....

Hey Deez,
That sounds like a repo not a theft.
I've had a utility trailer stolen last year but it was in an exposed area chained to a light post behind my office. It was my own fault for leaving it there so long.

okay so I went to fayetteville last saturday with a friend and visited the area (around morganton rd) I want to be living and I was very pleased with the city. Now from what I had heard about fayetteville from some people on here I expected it to be scary but let me tell you it was totally fine! It wasnt scary at all, if so you all have never been to LA or a big city if thats scary to you, living in Los Angeles for 7 years I can tell you personally and every city has rough areas.
I found very good areas with nice stores, Ft bragg base was nice to drive around and the landscape very nice there. Now Im moving because my boyfriend, my hero and love of my life serves our country and this is where he needs to be, so no matter the city I would have come, but those who say dont move here and its scary??? pish...listen to those who say good things..take it from someone whos seen scary..fayetteville has GOOD things to offer and EVERY store I went into poeple were very nice and friendly, wishing me a safe move and welcoming me and I felt very happy about moving there...just my two cents

Word of advice? Get your heads out of the clouds and keep your eyes open. Sure, most people are nice...but it doesnt' make the entire area safe or nice or that everyone you meet will be either.

I dont see how I could have my head in the clouds saying fayetteville is nice since I lived in one of the highest crime cities in the country (Los Angeles), Fayetteville sure it had some poor areas and maybe not ideal real estate but its nothing to get all bunched up about. Overall people were nice to me there were I was those days but hey, im a nice person and you get back what you dish out.

I'm glad you found Fayetteville OK. It is not as bad as some choose to make it.
I wrote about having my utility trailer stolen. Well, I recovered it from the thieves last week. A buddy spotted it being towed and he called me. We chased it 25 miles before the Sheriff's deputies were able to get there and stop it. Happy ending for me.
