I have had 10 people contact me today. I do not have a definite number from past days though. By the way, should you know any others who have contacted us in the past, please have them email or call again if they want to be added to the list as we don’t have a comprehensive contact list of some who have contacted us. Hopefully they'll start getting somewhere now....But, we should keep on emailing and calling as much as possible.
Very much agreed here. Everyone's voice and e-mails are crucially important in this issue.

I email him 3 times a day and have not had 1 reply. I wonder if I am on his good list or bad list. Oh well time to send another email out.
I am out of money. I have enough food stockpiled to last me a few weeks. My bills are in arrears 1 month. All of the utilities people have been very kind, they have given me another month to catch up, so I got a break in that. My car insurance will be cancelled on May 26. I will have to turn in my tags at that time or break the law and drive without insurance. I thought that my food would run out before being able to drive my car. It's a strange world we live in, where we have to make choices on what we thought was important. The ESC says I have to come in to prove that I have been searching for jobs, but I have neither the gas nor the insurance to drive my vehicle down there to prove that I have been looking for work, because I haven't received EB to get cash to pay my insurance or put gas in my car to get there. It's truly a Catch 22.
As an aside, I find myself in a situation that might be addressed. My children are grown and on their own. I WILL NOT ask them for money, a parent should take care of their children, not the other way around. I know...pride falls...but, I have a little dog that won't have any food. I know it sounds trivial, but, I was just wondering if there were any places that would donate dog food? I live in Western NC.
The nearest Humane Society might have suggestions. I don't think dog food is a trivial concern at all; I'd consider it a high priority.
As a last resort, I would ask your children for help. I think they would probably want you to.

Thanks for input..I will look into that. As far as the children go, I would rather not do that, they are basically in the same situation I am.....Long Story.

I don't understand how McComas can say there is a bill in committee. Now that it has been added to the budget don't they have to extract it. Isn't the fact that he says it is in committee null right now?
