I hope it is retro so I can catch up. I have been filing each week.

I am praying they come to some compromise next week.

Wonder what Nesbitts thoughts are on the possibility?

Something will give next week. Even if the Dem's DON'T accept the bill, they will work till they find a solution. They have already committed themselves to correcting the problem. The important thing is that they have acknowledged us and our plight. All parties involved know that the voters, both employed and unemployed, will remember this for a long time to come.

Default Star News/Wilmington

in addition to the front page article by Patrick Gannon of the Star News concerning Rep. Justice and her support of EB AND the editorial on 6A asking the general assembly to take her advice, Tom Campbell of NC Spin also wrote an editorial. I've pasted it below. I have no idea if he plans to discuss the topic on his show but it's more proof that our voices are being heard.

NC SPIN Online (http://www.ncspin.com/current_myspin.php - broken link)

I also want to thank www.starnewsonline.com for publishing multiple articles dedicated to our cause! It's proof that contacting your local media is effective!

I also wanted to thank everyone on this forum for making me laugh sometimes when I don't even feel like smiling. This is tough and together we'll pull through!

Mr. Berger, Tillis:

I am writing again to you asking PLEASE don't attach this ExtendedBenefits bill to anything...We don't need more games being played with our lives and especially our children's lives...Sir, you have stated publicly that you want this to pass for your fellow citizens. But, if you do this, there is no hope for people. We.......50,000 of your own people need this NOW! We have been waiting for you and your games to be played in Raleigh. How can you say that you support this, and then put it with something that you KNOW the Governor will VETO. It can be done all by itself, and pass that business day. Do you not realize that when it is passed the ESC will be so overwhelmed, it going to take them time to process these 50,000 people. I don't know what else to say to those that represent US. And yes I have told the Governor the same thing, both parties need to work together. But all we see is one side just keep putting this all off on the other. Stand up for the people, take all the credit!!!! Just please, please make it happen for us.

Look into your hearts and help us make this a very bad memory.....

Thank you,
Stephen In NC

I just wanted to let everyone know that the EB Benefits have passed in Tennessee. I, along with all of you, am hoping and praying that North Carolina takes example and does the same next week.

Yes it was.... I, as well as all people, should have hope that we will be acknowledged and served justly this week. I had been paying close attention to Tennessee's EB issue, and I had received a negative impression on their passage of EB. Yet, it fortunately came to pass, to give hope to close to 30,000 Tennesseeans. I have the hope that it will also pass North Carolina next week. Everyone must keep up their voice in this, and continue with the phone calls and e-mails. We're almost there ! ! !

Will Perdue accept any compromise on the budget or does she have just her way in mind?
