I really hope something works out soon. I haven't been on in awhile cuzz I decided to beg my part-time employers for more work instead. I was getting angry writing and calling these people (politicians) and getting no response. Plus with no retroactivity for me an extra 329 a whole month later wouldn't have helped. if they get it reinstated i will at least have it there in case my part-time jobs reduce my hours again bu tmore importantly it will help those that were already on EB to get their back pay!

Two figures to quote today when speaking to our representatives: 2500 and 500,000

Last year there were nearly 500,000 unemployed in NC fighting for 2500 new jobs created.

Only 2,500 jobs added in NC in last year :: WRAL.com

Gainful employment is clearly out of our control, Extended Benefits now!

That's great, but please don't continue to wait. Be proactive and don't wait any longer. That is the reason why we continue to see these heartbreaking stories, because some folks continue to wait till they have no options at all.

Okay, there's a discharge petition in the House. It needs how many Republican signatures to allow a full House vote for H676? I think we should lobby Rep. Carolyn Justice to sign this petition. Who are the other Republican reps who are sympathetic to the EBers? We need to lobby them too.

Is there a discharge petition in the Senate for S584? I think we need to lobby Senators Jim Davis and Ralph Hise to either introduce or sign a discharge petition. The article makes it sound like Davis and Hise aren't supporting the Republican leadership position 100%. Exploit this opportunity. I think it's clear this is where we need to focus our efforts.
