72 House votes would be required to override a potential veto by Gov. Perdue, and the GOP's hold 68 seats in that chamber. Republicans have a veto-proof majority in the Senate.

So they need 4 dems in the house. I am not sure I am happy about the bill. I am in a better position them most so I have the ability to wait longer, however I know a lot dont. I am definatly not happy about them having the ability to cut it off again if the fed repubs get the bill passed allowing them to use the money to pay back federal debt.

So when Perdue vetoes this and 4 dems will more than likely not side with the Republicans, what next? The Republicans will not separate the bill no matter what. Then we have to wait until July. I am torn, because my money runs out after June's bills.

There are five Democrats (Brisson, Crawford, Hill, Owens and Spear) that joined the Republican majority in supporting the $19.3 billion spending plan. That was a 13% cut. The (CR) is a 3% cut. Just saying.

Default There's a chance

5 Democrats voted for the house budget which made it veto proof. If 4 of those 5 continue to support the budget, then they can override the veto.
