Like they honestly ever expected her to not veto it. Why did they waste their time on H439 to begin with?

Like I said a few days ago they were just blowing smoke to get the pressure of the media off their backs. Next week they will say they tried to compromise. This will not get resolved until June 30th when the budget is passed but in order to give the impression that they are concerned about eb they put together this bogus bill they knew would get vetoed.

Default Opinions Please

Is this too harsh? Attempting to be civil here although I am not feeling it!

Letter to our Government Officials,

The Extended Benefit issue is not and should not be connected to the NC State Budget, A Stand Alone Bill should be the only acceptable option.

To attach the 47,000 currently unemployed and desperate for employment individuals to a bill that will allow for additional loss of employment and funding cuts in any segment of the State Economy is inappropriate.

The Extended Benefits being totally federally funded, I am saddened that we are being used as pawns in this power fight, when we simply should not be involved in this part of the process. It is your responsibility to find a satisfactory compromise to a balanced budget without placing fault on the backs of any of your constituents.

You have expressed your desires to assist your fellow citizens, Why are you not introducing a Stand Alone Bill? A simple bill that will resolve this current issue, allow for the unfortunate unemployed masses to feed & clothe families, buy $5.00 gallon gas for the car,
pay utilities, rent & mortgages & equally important put money back into our State Economy .

With all that said...We Need Jobs! We hope you will begin focusing on why so many are unemployed and what can be done to create gainful employment with normal humane benefits & respect for all employees or perhaps aid in the creation of more independent businesses instead of holding our feet to the fire with no opportunity to do anything other than struggle with our day to day reality.

We appreciate your time & thank you in advance for your efforts to resolve this issue ASAP,

I heard: According to Tricia Cotham:

Dems filed a discharge petition to seperate out EB from budget. Waiting on Repubs to go over it...earliest to hear anything will be Tuesday.

I tweeted her asking if this is true, waiting for response.
