Stay on topic. Attempts to hi-jack threads by switching topics or going off topic will be deleted and infractions issued. This is not a chat room - when people hi-jack threads by posting messages that are of interest to only few people, the threads often stop being useful discussions of initial topics.

Also I could not find an interview with Berger where they asked for questions from us.

I havent found the Berger interview either. I think yesterday may have taken a turn that caused it to be postponed.
As for the budget vote...yep, I've heard and read the same. I have'nt seen these revisions. I certainly hope that the compromise is a FAIR one. I need EB to pass as so many do but I still have major issues with elected officials using constituents as "property" to exhange or swap for something they want. Feeling pretty cheap right now!

Perhaps this article is where that info came from?
Potential budget deal spares teaching assistants :: WRAL.com
"The key players in this debate are likely to be five House Democrats who voted with Republicans for the chamber's budget in early May. A final budget could withstand a veto override if four of the five support it. One of the five, Rep. Jim Crawford, D-Granville, said Friday that none of the five have a pledged to vote for a final measure that contains the extra education funding, but he said it does make the legislation more appealing.
"We felt like it was important to get those jobs back in the budget and to look after our school system," Crawford said. "I don't know if any of us are on board. We'll wait and look at the old budget and see where they took it from."

I am hoping they can agree on a budget and then pass a stand alone bill, waiting on it attached to a budget might take longer.
