The link below was updated on 3/13/12 and list table #1 that states the 5/12 as last payable date, but it looks like that info is a little outdated.

Since those aren't official NC numbers, I still believe it is possible NC will trigger off earlier than 5/12. We'll just have to wait and see.

It appears my tier IV may be exhausted? I logged in this morning and attempted to file just to get the message that my benefits are exhausted. When I started tier IV 6 weeks ago, I was under the impression that I would have 16 weeks of benefits. This happen to anyone else? Anything I can do?

You should still be able to collect EB as long as it is still triggered on. It looks as though it will be off by early May at the latest. I called ESC and they took care if it over the phone and I did not miss a check.

You won't get the 10 extra weeks in tier 4, but you will be able to collect EB until it triggers off.
I called ESC too and the rep. did the transition to EB for me.

So EB is different from the normal tiers? Interesting... When I had to call a few weeks ago (to start tier 4), the rep told me that EB was just another name for tier 4. I guess I'll call the Raleigh office tomorrow. Anything I should be prepared for? Even if EB turns off in early May that would give me a few extra weeks to hopefully find something, although, my positive attitude is dying wit each door that gets slammed in my face.
Thanks in advance

That you would get an answer like that is both absurd and pathetic. Even on the esc website there is better info than that. I would give them a call and EB will be taken care of in a matter of a minute or two. Then on your 4th week you will have an eligibility review. Check out the main unemployment forum here for lots more info. Be prepared for EB to go away before your 20 weeks are used.

Thanks for the info. I'm going to call in the morning. It doesn't surprise me that I got wrong info. Everytime I walk into the local office I feel that they are reading from a Tele-Prompter. We'll see what happens!

I called the remote # this morning and they started my claim for EB. She said that I'd have to call back tomorrow to find out how many weeks I'm eligible for. Well as of right now, wouldn't that be 20? Or at least until EB kicks off (rumored to be May)? She wouldn't confirm any type of dates. Although she did tell me I'd need a review of my work searches. Something about a review every 4 weeks? That seems like overkill. I guess I'll sit tight and see what comes next
