Besides for EB eligibility, do they even have general eligibility reviews, where you're asked to come down with your job search sheets, etc? And if so...I guess it would just be a random process picking people. I just know so many people, including myself, who have never gotten called down there. Of course, none of them were eligible for EB, so maybe that's why.
No, not officially to my knowledge. Just EB for sure. However, everyone must keep track of their worksearch efforts in the event they're asked to bring them to the office. Not being able to provide them for a certain time period when asked can result in disqualification (and overpayment) for weeks that have previously been certified and paid.

Gotcha. I had brought mine just in case to the RES orientation. But you were right, they didn't even want to see it or collect it. And with such a large number of people unemployed, I'm sure it's damn near impossible to call people in for random eligibility. Sadly, it sounds like it's based more on an honor system...until you hit EB of course.

This is the "hunch" I got at my RES meeting last month...but it sounded like my job coach and the other two "bullies" there were hired on specifically for the RES program. In other words, they might know more about resume writing and how to look for a job...but know very little about NC unemployment. That obviously doesn't go for all job coaches (jdljr included), but that's what I assumed with my office.

yes you are correct my letter does say revision on the right hand side
but it also says the max amt, the weekly benefit amt, and that weekly continued claims for 2nd tier benefits may be filed etc etc if this is only for 1 week or so you would think it would say that so we would know. nyway then i got the letter saying i was ineligible for euc because i did not qualify etc. do everything is ended ? I guess I didn't see this coming and had no idea. what are the extensions and tiers . I started collecting
last Dec 2008 did 26 weeks then went into what ? Tier 1 ? then tier 2 ?
now I cannot continue to other tiers? thank you all for your help.

I had an email late today from her, and she had teleconferenced in on a UI meeting yesterday, but I didn't have a chance to read it before I left today. I'll of course read it in the morning and see if she mentions anything else about it.
That's what I thought.
I'm assuming she didn't want us talking about all of that during our orientation.
There was already a heated discussion starting up about the senator from Kentucky and that whole issue....whew!
Other than all of that semi-fiasco, the RES meeting was handled fairly well and lasted about 3 hours
About 20 of us were present.

Is this your first benefit year or are you in your 2nd year?

(IF) It's your 2nd benefit year and your monetarily ineligible for EUC, then they will pull forward any unused money you have from what ever tier you were in back when your first benefit year ended.

For example:If you started benefit year two and were in the middle of collecting say, tier 2 or possibly 3 ect... then they'll go back and pick up where you left off.
You still need to file every week til they get the computer system straightened out. It may be a week or so til you get your $$.

They aren't pulling forward back amounts yet.
JDLJR, has said pullforwards possibly will start weekly on "Tuesday's" at the beginning of every month.
So I'd try to file again at the end of the week.
They're still getting tier 4 set and also getting computers updated with the new extension date ect...
(Goodluck)

For an eligibility review, you need all of them from the first day you started your benefits.
You can download the sheets on the NCESC website.
It can be alot of sheets after a year or so, but better safe than sorry.
