thats most odd! i would have thought it would either be A or B
A they fixed yours and only took out the difference between year 2 and 1 and u r back on track
or
B they have not fixed yours and deducted 50% to pay back the state since they havent swapped the weeks yet
what a mess! and ive been on hold about 2 Freaking hours now!!!!
was it a 50% deposit? or normal? or something in between?
as for the waivers---- IF they can fix mine (and swap out the weeks) then i wont even bother with the waivers--- b/c i understand that TECHINCALLY i do owe the $ and if they can fix it and swap the weeks thats all i want
i dont mind paying back the $91 i ACTUALLY owe
I still don't understand why I owe so much more then everyone else? ($14k over 4 letters and still have some dates outstanding where I may owe more.) I am waiting a day or two to see if that final letter comes then hopefully the ESC will have the process down for appealing/waiving/processing whatever they are going to do... I was able to submit yesterday but the amount hasn't cleared my bank yet so this is a nervously wait and see...BTW I had planned on becoming self employed this week, stop looking for jobs, and quit applying for benefits.. so that last check was going to be my last one.. now I may delay my new adventure to collect and get this sorted out....

NORMALLY it will show in the payment history page of the ESC before the $ becomes available to you

having your year start in January makes yours look bad. because they WERE using May as the cutoff point.
i still think youll have much if not all that 14k erased by bringing up stuff, unless there are issues we dont know about.
perhaps jdmchic will have a story on that. that the letters she got do/did not reflect $ that she actually owes, in fact.
they may try that, but theyd be wise to waive the disqualification of the waiver (uh, what?) or they are going to have some highly pissed off people in there.
this is THEIR MISTAKE.
most people shouldve been swimming along obliviously, getting their payments, moving from one Tier to another.
Yep, this is all true. But I simply don't trust them at all!
I don't think they care if any of us are able to collect the EB,it'll be like, "well you have gotten more than anyone newly put into UI is going to recieve, so it is what it is".
Like I said ,I may change my mind , especially IF I get more OP letters.
As of now, I'm content with the deduction.
I tell ya , I've been adding and re-adding for days now.
Every scenario I can think up just doesn't match what they say I owe or what tier they've now put me back in to.
I freak when my checking account is a dollar off, so this has really got me in a stir.
I'll be curious to see if we get new monetary letters in the mail, so I have an idea of what my tier 4 actually has in it.
Well, I got through after about an hour, but rather conveniently got hung up on and now I can't get through again. Now I have to wait about an hour cuz my phone is dead.
I did ask, in more plain terms, what the -bleep- is going on down there. And the rep did say they are "aware of the issues people are having" (it's somehow not THEIR issue, it's OUR issue). And I did hear the clever excuse that "Well...uhhhhh, you got to understand, we've uhhhhhhh been handling a record number of claims...ya know, so we're uhhhhhh <CLICK>" That's when I lost connection. I thought the rep could call you back if you lose connection, but...oh well.
Can't wait to check my mail today and find out how much more money I supposedly owe. I'm gonna guess...$821.
