I would ask him:

1. In April why did you attach the EB to the budget instead of voting on it as a standalone?
2. When it was vetoed, why didn't you then or even now extract it and vote on it?
3. Why are you holding up the Extended Benefits for the 45,000 and climbing?
4. Do you realize it is 100 percent Federally funded, no cost to the state?

When asked why they're tying the EB to the budget when the money isn't coming out of the state coffers, Skip Stam said the money is still coming from NC taxpayers. Please write or call him and ask why we are spending our tax dollars to fund other state's EB and economies and not getting any of our tax dollars into our own state economy.

5. Do you realize that every week you deny these benefits costs the state over 20 million in money to the economy, taxes, and additional need for state funding of those people.

So he is ok with NC tax payer money, federal taxes not state, being sent to other states for their extended EB, but not to come back to NC for ours, and our economy? Its not like the fed separates it and says ok NC paid this much so this is how much they will get back in extended EB money.

How is it coming from NC taxpayers? I am confused. Practically every state that has needed to has fixed EB for their unemployed, why not NC?

Here's on of mine:

6: Several of the unemployed are veterans. Do you feel like you are honoring them this weekend by playing games with EB?

5. Mr. Berger now thay you are aware of plight of these thousands of people why do you stand by idle and not take the high road and give the governor her clean bill and take your people out of harms way and choose to fight another day versus people going homeless, starving, and living in destitute situations.

6. Why couldn't you grow a set and stand up for your folks and let the people see how the governor's office is behaving rather than show the people how much contempt the General Assembly has for its own people.

7. Since it is obvious this whole fiasco it about the inability to find jobs why dont we hear about how our state is working to create jobs and industry. Why do we hear about it around election time but there never is proof of these actions as we see no improvement in the job sector.

8. Why do we always hear about cutting teaching and education jobs. Yes it is a large amount of the budget but wouldnt the people care to hear about how the prisoners in the prison system are getting cut? Prisoners dont lose their lights, their health insurance, they dont go hungry, they have air condition, and bed every night. Isnt there something that can be done to the prisoners first before we jerk our childrens education around.
