Hi there! I am getting married in New bern in September and I just found out that the place I am having the dinner reception at will not allow dancing. What's a wedding without dancing? So I am looking for a place to have a party after the dinner. Somewhere we could have a DJ from 10pm-2pm, alcohol & bartender, and somewhat close to the downtown New Bern area. We only have a total of 32 people. Both sides of of families our Irish so I can guarantee very very large bar tab : )....I am not from around the area so I am lost. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Default New Bern Late nite?

Wow! Where are you having your reception that there's no dancing?
I work for a numebr of catering companies in town, and I have never heard of such a thing!

With only that few people, you should check and see if BTM would be interested in closing for a private party, It's small, but it should be ok for what you're looking for. Barring that, maybe the Farmer's market?
(and as a sidebar, I bartend and so does my husband, if you find yourself in need of one! Just let me know how I can help!)
