I do not feel very accepted by the general population in Salisbury. But you have to consider that I am multiracial woman married to a white man. If you work in the medical or education field you could find a job. The crime rate is low and the houses are cheap. Good Luck

Is there a primarily liberal (and accepting) church? I am concerned about moving from a liberal thinking community to a conservative one, without some pockets of liberalism available. Thanks in advance for your response/advice.

High humidity is my least favorite weather. What are summertime humidity levels (the real feel) in Salisbury? I recently moved to the Tri-Cities of NorthEast TN - very pleasant. I'm asking because of a possible job in Salisbury. Thanks.

I found downtown Salisbury to be quaint and very nice. It seems that it has been gentrified over the past years and it seems by the types of business on Main street that there is an influx of young people.

However, I have a question. While driving on F. Fulton Street, I noticed a drastic change when I crossed the train track almost immediately. The housing stock changed almost immediately from modest to grand, especially as I moved towards S. Fulton Street.

Could someone please explain the sharp divide?

I am genuinely curious to know the idiosyncrasies of why that street changes so quickly.

Also, could someone tell me about the North Main Historic District. Is it safe?

Thanks!

Do not go to High Point as someone suggested! High Point and Greensboro suck! My husband is from Salisbury and I loved it when we were there. Its cute and for the most part quite.

Hi, new poster could you elaborate why you feel the town of Salisbury is better than Greensboro or High Point?
