Haven't had a chance to post for awhile.
Been finishing up the house here.
BUT.
THE SIGN IS IN THE YARD.
We will be going down May 20th to FIND A HOME.
Calabash/Shallotte area.
To my friends here on this post...........say a prayer that everything goes well.
We really need to sell this place so we can FINALLY settle down and become North Carolinians.

Cassy,
Thanks so very much.
Got a private message from Natch (who doesn't accept private messages). He/she said being from NJ I'll never be a North Carolinian.
Tried to tell him.................IT'S ALL IN THE HEART.
We are very excited and SCARED. Being 63........it isn't easy doing this.
We have dreamed of this for years.

I know it's not easy, my folks did it in their 60's from California. It was rough but well worth it. They love it. My dad just got a new tractor, he is 78. They have a beautiful 10 acres in Mt. Airy. Good Luck!!!

You're right and so is he/she...HE/SHE will NEVER be a North Carolinian...Good thing he/she isn't moving. Just hope he/she is never forced to move by their company.

njprintman, welcome to NC & Brunswick County. I JUST moved to Leland from MI but was born and raised in SC...

I LOVE the area. Liz

Autumn,
I'd be proud to be called a Tar Heel. Been called a lot of other names over my career and they sure weren't very nice.
I'm the one who started out excited about the move and now I'm a nervous wreck. The wife is the one who now excited.
She keeps telling me to keep praying and leave everything in God's hands. Sounds pretty good to me.
Can't wait.
