I have seen Onto These Hills. The natural acoustics was great, but I havent seen The Lost Colony.
There was so much to see at the outer banks. I did get to see my first estuary and it was breath taking. I have been to all the lighthouses besides the one at Shackleford banks and you need a private boat to view it but I bet there is some killer looking seashells .
Ive rode Tweetsie, amtrack even the train in Spencer but I would like to ride Great Smokies Railroad

I'd like to go fishing with my husband somewhere that allows handicapped access ... which for us means level land with not more than a 50 feet walk to reach the water.
I'd like to find some sort of artist's village where I could actually afford to buy something for our home.
And then maybe all the usual places in NC that people like to go for just being able to sit back and take in all the beauty surrounding us.

I'm a big chicken about heights but this was not a big deal to do. I initially thought that the bridge was a mile off the ground...no way am I doing that!! But no, the bridge is a mile in elevation and not very long and it doesn't swing that much (unless your DH is the type to jump and bounce on it when you are trying to walk across, lol). The view was beautiful and we got some great pictures. I wasn't the only one up there who seemed a little skittish, telling the kids and DH "Don't get so close to that edge, come back over here, be careful that rock could be slippy!!" If you can muster up even a little bit of nerve it is worth it!!

^ Agreed Yank. Walking across the Mile High bridge and climbing to the top of the rocks on the other side--well, you feel like you're on top of the world. It's really breath-taking.

Dang, my brain just froze up on me, I can't remember the name of the town, south of Asheboro and the Zoo wherein they do all the pottery. A great place to spend a weekend or a day visiting all the sites. There is still a fishing pier in Atlantic Beach, no wading through sand, it's owned by a motel, if you stay at the motel, the fishing is either free or at a greatly reduced price, good fishing too, depending on what is running at the time.

Dusty, you are thinking of Seagrove Pottery. If you like pottery, Catawba Co. has a big pottery show in March.
