I tried it once when I had a hankering for scrapple.
I don't know what happened to the recipe as it traveled from PA to the South but it isn't the same stuff. Blech!!
I think I still get points for eating scrapple though...it's the original livermush.

Drive from the easternmost to westernmost point , filming a long documentary of the entire trip , while stopping to fish along the way.

One to add to your lists:
Walk the dunes at Jockey's Ridge State Park at the Outer Banks.

It was a lot more fun than I thought it would be -- like playing in a giant sandbox. Better to go in cooler months, too.

I also thought livermush would taste like scrapple. If you fry it in thin slices until it gets crispy, it is somewhat similar. I can't stand calf's liver, but I have learned to like livermush, it's not as "gamey". But you have to get used to it. Actually, I have not been able to find scrapple down here, that must be a northen thing.

There are different levels of rapids on different rivers...so it isn't necessarily dangerous. Most raft rental companies go over the basics prior to your trip and provide guides to go with you. It's a blast, and truly something you should do before you "up and die".

I had never heard it called liver "mush" before I met someone in college from Lincolnton, NC that called it that. We always called it liver pudding.
