Hi everyone, I just had some questions about moving up to NC. I currently live in SC but would like to live somewhere with a larger art community. I'm finishing up my degree in graphic design next year, and was thinking about moving to the Asheville or Wilmington area. I was also looking at Hendersonville. An old coworker said that both are great (he actually just moved back up to Wilmington).
My biggest concerns are housing costs and finding employment...so, how are things up there? What would be a pretty average cost of rent for a 2 bedroom/2 bath home or townhome? Are jobs extremely scarce, or is the economy beginning to pick back up?
And also, in yall's opinion which would be the better place to go for a twenty-something, newly married couple?
