Many examples of dysfunctional driving have been given. A high level of anger has been expressed but there will be no change as long as drivers perceive that there is little or no possibility that they will receive a ticket. Until this happens their antisocial behavior will continue.

For as bad as all the drivers here supposedly are, the insurance rates sure are reasonable. Something tells me the insurance industry would have a good handle on the most dangerous states for driving...
Here is their breakdown of states and average insurance costs for each:
1. Michigan, $2,541
2. Louisiana, $2,453
3. Oklahoma, $2,197
4. Montana, $2,190
5. Washington, D.C., $2,146
6. California, $1,991
7. Mississippi, $1,896
8. New Mexico, $1,896
9. Arkansas, $1,836
10. Maryland, $1,807
11. North Dakota, $1,794
12. Connecticut, $1,786
13. Rhode Island, $1,747
14. Wyoming, $1,714
15. Hawaii, $1,707
16. South Dakota, $1,707
17. Georgia, $1,670
18. New Jersey, $1,663
19. West Virginia, $1,633
20. Kentucky, $1,629
21. New York, $1,627
22. Minnesota, $1,614
23. Washington, $1,584
24. Missouri, $1,563
25. Indiana, $1,518
26. Colorado, $1,508
27. Texas, $1,492
28. Delaware, $1,489
29. Florida, $1,476
30. Nebraska, $1,470
31. Pennsylvania, $1,468
32. Kansas, $1,461
33. Alaska, $1,454
34. New Hampshire, $1,334
35. Massachusetts, $1,328
36. Idaho, $1,325
37. Alabama, $1,306
38. Oregon, $1,306
39. Nevada, $1,300
40. Illinois, $1,290
41. Arizona, $1,280
42. Utah, $1,272
43. Virginia, $1,237
44. Iowa, $1,179
45. North Carolina, $1,154
46. Ohio, $1,152
47. Tennessee, $1,146
48. Wisconsin, $1,128
49. Maine, $1,126
50. South Carolina, $1,095
51. Vermont, $995
hmmm. Florida; ~30% more expensive. Texas? ~30% more expensive. New York; ~45% more expensive. Pennsylvania; ~30% more.
Unless you're from Ohio, Tennessee, Maine, Vermont, South Carolina or Wisconsin I'd wager you're coming from a state with more dangerous driving conditions... follow the money.

Agreed, I have no idea why people bother to turn on their signal after they make a turn. I can see your turning how about letting me know your going to turn.
frigging shagagies
I propose a new NC law (if a car is coming down the road and you are sitting on the side road waiting for them to pass and then the turn without a signal you are allowed to shoot out their tires.)

When I drive, turn signals are an option. Sometimes I use them, most times I don't.
If I feel you need to know I'm turning, I'll let you know by signalling. If not, I won't bother.
Here are 2 examples where I won't normally signal.
1. I'm in a marked "turning lane only". No need for me to signal.
2. If you're behind me (which means I just passed you) and I'm traveling at a much quicker pace than you, you don't need to know I'm making a lane change.

I know, right. How stupid can one person actually be? I mean, if someone is really going to do something like that (and impede the flow of traffic), then they should just throw themselves into that lane and not even bother. Many of those idiots who do that moved here from elsewhere.

The selective use of the turn signals is fine if you always remember to use them but if you not using them all the time then sometimes you will forget. This is why brake lights work all the time even when nobody is behind you. They never forget to work.
For the above reason your logic makes no sense.

You're not me so you can't comment on my logic. How do you know I'll forget to use them when I think it's necessary to use them?
I don't always use my wipers either. Care to take on that battle with me as well ?

Sorry I forgot that some people never forget and never make mistakes like I did.
