Where are the hospitals and medical centers? (Charlotte: fit in, apartment)

I am a physical therapist interested in relocating to NC.

I've heard that the Triangle Area has a large concentration of medical centers and hospitals. But does this region have the largest concentration?

Once I've found this out I'll look for a middle school for my son plus an apartment to rent.

UNC and Duke Universities, Wake Med, Johnston Medical Center, and others on a good google search.

Try going to American Hospital Directory. The web site is American Hospital Directory - information about hospitals from public and private data sources including MedPAR, OPPS, hospital cost reports, and other CMS files. They have a lot of info that you can sift through. If you are looking at the Triangle area use the 919 area code when you do your search.

Noticed this wasn't listed so there may be more unlisted medical centers in other parts of NC - Carolinas Rehabilitation in Charlotte

Our main hospital is one of the largest freestanding, non-profit inpatient rehabilitation centers in the nation. This facility houses our neurorehabilitation center for individuals who have sustained brain injury, spinal cord injury or other traumatic injuries.

Carolinas Rehabilitation has two other facilities, where physical medicine and rehabilitation physicians and staff are specialized in treating stroke, non-traumatic injuries, amputations, orthopaedic and other general rehabilitation diagnoses. A fourth location is located in Levine Children's Hospital, where our primary therapeutic goal is to help young children and adolescents lead longer and richer lives at the highest level of functioning possible.
