Forbes list is unrealistic. Most singles can't afford to live in the top ten cities. Try for a second tier city ie. Houston or Louisville, KY. It's very foolish to use Forbes as a guide as to where to move to meet good prospects.

My thoughts? Yeah I kinda see us up on the list. I'm surprised RDU ranked as high as 6...just below New York and just above Seattle! (Denver was #1, then Boston, Phoenix, SanFransisco, & NYC.)

-I'm surprised Raleigh would be rated that high. I wouldn't even put that city on the list, but Denver I would I wonder why they put Raleigh that high on the list? I have to strongly disagree with Forbes there.

-Strongly agreed. I have been to Denver and, IMO, #1 is well deserved for that city only from my personal experience. A good way to see if an area is suitable (and this has helped me big time) is to visit that city/area and judge from experience. Even though I thought Denver was so much like Raleigh, it is one place I would consider living in. Too many people rely on someone else's word of mouth. Sadly, I am related to incompetent clowns who are that way. I would much rather form my own opinions instead of taking someone else's word for it b/c someone else's idea of “great” may be different to my own. So, yes, it's very foolish to rely 100% on any guide in determining your ''ideal'' place.
