What are some Redneck things you have seen in North Carolina?
A Gun shop offering free bibles with purchase.
A SUV where the guy replaced the back window with plywood, and you could tell it was permanent because he bolted the handle and lock on it.
At a gas station, "Free Popcorn with Purchase of 6-pack"
A Hummer pulling a RV with a "God Bless America" bumper sticker on the back.

Driving down the mountain on Globe Road and seeing flower beds made from old tires on top of trailers. Very creative and the flowers were lovely. Unfortunately, didn't have a camera with me that day.

i don't know if i would consider it 'redneck', but one of the first things i saw/heard that REALLY let me know i was in The South happened while watching a Panthers game on TV. The ref made an obvious bad call against Carolina, and the crowd started booing. There must have been one of those 'dome microphone guys' standing right next to a VERY Southern 'gentleman', because the 'Boo' came out more like a 'Beee-ooooooo'! Don't really know how to type it, but you get the idea.
Now, when I watch my team (Chargers) and a call doesn't go our way, I give the TV a good ol' Southern 'bee-oooo'. Always gets a chuckle from the wife.

Ha Ha, yes, I didn't bother to go back a read my post, so I didn't realize the dirty-word filter got me. You are indeed correct about the missing word!

The way that the liquor stores around here operate is one of the more redneck things I've seen in this state.

Not redneck but history. They rebuilt the CSS Neuse in Kinston as many of you probably know and I was riding by one day and they had the confederate flag flying in front of it. I thought it looked great but didn't have a camera on me and then the next couple of days they took it down.
But someone took a picture of it:
You know you're in the South when you're riding through town and find a replica of a Civil War vessel with the Confederate flag flying.
