Can anyone recommend a good town to live between Oxford and Clarksville, VA - or within an hour commute of Clarksville, VA?

I have done alot of searching, but thought I would bring the question to the people that live there.

Also, we have a child that will be going to High School in the fall. What high school would you recommend within the hour commuting distance? We will move to a town with a great high school.

Anything will be greatly appreciated.

THANKS!

Oxford, NC is about 30 minutes south of there. I wouldn't necessarily recommend Oxford, only because I am not that familiar with it, other than the fact we drive through there (and Clarksville) on our way to see my in laws.

So Oxford could be a good place, but if it's within an hour you're looking for I would also look into Creedmoor, which is about 25 miles north of downtown Raleigh, or parts of Northern Durham. Both of those places would be within 35-45 minutes from Clarksville.

I think you would find better schools in Northern Durham, or Creedmoor. Also, living in these areas would give you much better access to most of Raleigh and Durham for shopping, entertainment, etc.

Good Luck.
