I'm looking to relocate to NC but I'm having a little trouble finding work. I'm a video producer from LA (originally from NY). After getting married and having 2 childern we've decided it's time to get out of the rat race in So Cal and live a better quality of life. I've been researching Charlotte for a year or so plus my sister, aunts/uncles, friends live in Charlotte and Wilmington. I already know that my industry is pretty competitive so it's hard to find work in any city. I recently started considering the triangle area but don't know much about it. We like Charlotte but I haven't had any luck finding work there. Any suggestions? Raleigh vs. Charlotte? FYI - we're both in our early/mid 30's, kids are 2 and under, pretty liberal minded.

If anyone can recommend any production companies or head hunters in NC I'd be extremely grateful.

Thanks in advance.

Do you have a NC address and phone number you can use? If not you will not have much luck.
The recruiters and HR people will not bother with out of state applicants.

Wilmington is huge with film production. It would seem that if any area in NC would be a match, that would be it.

I think you're right. I guess I can use my sister's address in Charlotte.

Thanks.

Try the 3 links http://www.ncfilm.com/ and http:www.wncfilm.net
and http://www.ncflix.com/film-production-resources.htm They are sites of film commissions in NC, and additionally should link you to what you want.
