hey.
I'm from massachusettes and want to relocate for the summer to NC. Im looking to be able to rent an apartment in a town that is kinda hick. I want to be with people who drive big lifted ford truck, love to go wheelin, have horses, have quads, love bonfires, go hunting, wear camo, go fishing, im a college aged country girl looking for a fun summer...what part of NC should i be looking in...i dont want to be completely out in the middle of nowhere i need to have a walmart within a 30 minute drive...any ideas will be appreciated...i am taking a trip down for sprinf break in march so i want to know what areas i should be looking in

You can find that in a variety of places.

I would look for somewhere in eastern NC -- around I-95, that is -- but at least 30 or 40 miles away from the water.

Lumberton fits that criteria. Rockingham, Whiteville, Laurinburg, maybe even Fayetteville..

Like rubber_factory said. Eastern Carolina is where you want to look. I live in a small town 12 miles from Kinston and we do a lot of what you listed. Except we don't consider ourself "hicks" or "rednecks". I despise those names. We just make our own fun. When there isn't much to do, you have to.

Are you for real? Are you planning to do this by yourself? I don't care what state you're interested in, this is not a safe thing to do in this day and time... anywhere... especially if you don't know anybody.

i looked into all these places and i really can't seem to find what im looking for, and yes i am doing this alone...i plan on meeting some great people who love to do the sames things i do...i looking for a bunch of good people ready to have fun and drive around in trucks and lvoe country music
