So for those who filed for direct deposit for state refund in NC, how long after you got that above message did it take to receive your refund?
Did you ever get an answer to this question? I just got this message as well, and I did direct deposit - nothing has been posted to my bank.

For what it's worth, I got my refund yesterday. (Also included a few dollars for interest b/c the state was past the deadline to pay out.)

My check has been "written" - wonder how much interest I've accrued? Cost of postage, perhaps?

state of nc ,once again to delay tax refunds ,our own money ,for up to 45 days or more.due to shortfalls ,excuses ,ect. We need a interest rate ,paid by the state, added on to our refunds ,if not received or post marked ,within 7 business days of being accepted by them. We have to pay interest on loans ,c cards ,ect, why dont they? Should be no free rides, after all they use our money all year,an when jan 31st comes ,they want to hold as long as they can while they use it ,or earn interest themselves. recieved fed in my bank days after accepted ,state website tells me 45 days or more, bullcrap.

I got the same message a couple of days after my return was accepted. I called the number and she said I was getting that message because they had accepted the return but hadn't processed it yet so there was no information to display on the website. She also said it could take them up to 45 days to process it so that message will probably be there for a while
