Morning Waters
(http://coastalnc.org/morningwaters - broken link) is one of my favorite sunrise shots, taken at Emerald Isle

The End (http://coastalnc.org/theend - broken link) is a sunset that was taken looking across Bogue Sound.

"The magic of good neighbors" is a post about the good neighbors I found in Eastern Carolina.

I post coastal Carolina pictures regularly at my Flickr (http://www.flickr.com/photos/ocracokewaves/ - broken link) and Picasa Web albums sites.

This is a web photo album of a trip Down East or the most forgotten part of Coastal Carolina.

I have recorded a lot of area observations over my first nine months of living in the Cape Carteret area at my Coastal NC blog.

It was a great day down at the beach.

Photos of the beach near Emerald Isle's Eastern Regional Access Point.

This is great!! It's been hard to get in touch with locals in ENC on this forum. We were in New Bern in May and bought a lot in Fairfield Harbour. Hope to build a modest home and retire to it in the not too distant future.
We look forward to exploring the area ,LOVE the beach and a laid back lifestyle. We'll be on a retirement income, so continue to lead the simple blue collar life we've always had.
Keep the pictures coming---I really love them.

Oh--any builder recommendations? Again, we're just middle class---frugal Yankees. Not looking for a mega-mansion.

I am not familiar with builders in that area (45 minutes from us), but I'll ask some folks who live up there.
