There was an article recently that stated that housing in Wilmington is overpriced and the rest of NC could be following the same path.
Link: http://www.johnlocke.org/press_relea...ry.html?id=165 You might want to take that into consideration. Most builders here care more about quantity than quality.

Your real estate agent should be able to tell you. If you must do it on your own, go to any website that sell houses and type the town or subdivision name - this will bring up a list of houses for sale in the area. If one house is more expensive than other houses (be sure they have same amount of bedroom, close to sq. feet, garage, etc), then you'll know it's overpriced. I used realtor.com to analyze it myself.

Did you read the article? Growth management planning penalties and impact fees. They are not talking about being overpriced compared to other areas. They are talking about penalties that drive the costs of homes up to where they become unaffordable and overpriced. It might be "cheap" now, but so was California at one time.

NO, Take it easy.... relax. I didn't read the article. Yeah I know it's cheap now so was AZ. As log as it's cheap now and doesn't get out of control like those places.

I'm relaxed really. They are saying that it could though, that NC is slowly headed in the same direction as California.
