That would make for an interesting set of travel memoirs. Specifically how different towns and cities feel to a visitor with no prior experience of that town. (Might be an eye-opener to some towns, too!)

Standing Rock Indian Reservation. There are so many beautiful little spots here - we accidentally found a lot of places we want to check out in Bismarck/Mandan area. The Badlands.

My husband and I just enjoy the daylights out of just taking daytrips and not planning on where we're going. Birding is amazing here!

We just came home through western South Dakota - I cannot wait to go back to see more. The Crazy Horse Monument is so amazing! The Black Hills.

Medora (and the Theodore Roosevelt National Park and ND Badlands -- all kind of lumped together) is a must. I can't believe how many North Dakotans have not been there; but it's one of our favorite places. Also the International Peace Gardens was good as well.
