Halliburton and Missouri Basin in ND info?
New to the board and have been trying to get past the HR dept for these 2 Co. for driving Truck in the oil fields...sheesh..I wonder if they even look at the aps. that are being sent..I'm in western Mt. so can't exactly do a face to face interview and feeling a bit discouraged at the need they say they have for Truck drivers..  ..any suggestions?.. Thanks for taking the time..

I'd recommend you go in person. You'll likely get hired that day. Most of the board messages have stated that unless you go in person, you won't get looked at. I would agree with that. The companies want to see you are committed to working.

I'd suggest never working for a company like Halliburton. Principles are always more important that money.

it took my husband almost a month before they called him for a job at missouri basin . so just hang in there and keep calling them .. he got the job and really likes it with them and we really like it here in ND too!good luck!

I think he should start applying now, thats what my husband did and he received an position right away. Also, some employers may want him to start ASAP.

Thats what we are worried about i s employers wanting him to start now, We are in Michigan so it would be a little difficult.

i hope you will have some kind of housing we are living in our rv trailer in a rv park right now till we can find a house or something but there hasnt been anything for rent .i dont want to be a downer but hopefully you have a trailer or something you can live in until you can find housing . we really like it here its just the housing problem kinda sucks .good luck and best wishes

We have a suburban that he is going to use until he can get an RV or secure a room or something. I am going to stay here in Michigan with the kids so they can go to school. If this turns out to be long term I will go out there to another town in the state and look for housing. We just have to see how it goes, really don't know until he gets there and has to actually sleep in the truck.
