Need help in Upham (McHenry: homes, purchase, school)

Hi,
I am trying to find out about who owns two homes in Upham, ND that both appear to be abandoned.

The homes are old (1900's) - both were childhood homes of my grandfather and we are wondering if there is a way to purchase one/both in order to preserve them.

One is located at E Ave. N just north of Main Street on the east side. White with blue trim, single story.

The second is kitty-corner: Alexandra and E Ave. N. on the northwest corner (with the red barn behind).

Any information would be greatly appreciated!!!

I would go to the county building and ask to see their plat book. In there, it should be broken down by townships. You should be able to find the owner of the property from there. No guarantee that you will be able to find a phone number though. Also, some property is held in a trust where the name is unrelated to the owner. But, the county is a starting point.

The county is McHenry County, ND. Good luck with them. The phone number is: (701) 537-5359. If you are in the area, visit Upham and ask around. Not much there anymore. My wife graduated from the Upham school.
