We have printed up resumes and reference sheets. I am faxing job apps tomorrow. My husband and father in law are heading out that way and will be ready to job search on September 13th. I am staying back here (Michigan) with the kids. I am working and cover most of the bills so figure might as well keep the kids home as long as we can. We know a couple of guys out west there that are doing some work so if possible they might stay with one of them. The friends are staying in campers and have done it for a couple of years so no worried there.

This is scary. I wish we could follow my husband out there but that would be too stressful on all. Just hoping this will all work out.

I think your husband will be fine. And I am happy to hear that they will have some friends to stay with while they are on the search for jobs. I know the prices of a decent hotel in the area was a little expensive per a night for us, I would say a 100.00 a night was the cheapest we could find in Fargo, ND and then it wasn't the nicest , but we had to stay some where while on the search for jobs. I think your husband will find soemething within a week, but we applied for jobs before we went and set up interviews. I have read some stories on the board that some made the move before locating a job, but I know someone gave me some good advice to locate a job before moving.
