Default Any child friendly gated communities in Fargo?

I am looking into relocating from the northern part of the state to Fargo with my child.

Are there any good appartment communities near a good elem./middle school? Are all the schools equally good?

So I don't live in Fargo but I do have to ask: Why on earth would you need to live in a gated community in Fargo? One would think Fargo sans-gate would be safer than most gated communities. What if the gate breaks and you can't get out? :-)

Yeah, you're right - I thought about that afterwards too!!

I really don't think there is anywhere in Fargo that is not safe. As for the schools, some are newer than others, but other than that, I don't know if there is any real difference.

You could look at this website for some information about the different neighborhoods of Fargo: Your Neighborhood - City of Fargo
And here's a map showing school locations:
Fargo School District and Elementary School Boundaries - City of Fargo

The only neighborhoods I would not want to live in are probably those around Madison and Roosevelt, and maybe Jefferson (though Jefferson is getting a new school), just because I don't think those neighborhoods are as nice.

In general, Fargo is very good for schools and community. After living in CT and seeing the mess out there, the worse school in Fargo would probably whip the best out there easily.

I live in South Fargo by 32nd Ave, and there is an apartment complex there that we lived in when we first moved that is the second apartment behind I believe byron dorgans office (not the blue one, but the one behind that) which is really nice appartments we found, and you are near nice parks, etc. We liked the area so much we bought a house in the neighborhhood.

Offhand I don't remember. I'll check and see on my way home from work. But if you have anyone around the area, just tell them to go to where byron dorgans office is on the intersection of 18th st S and 32 Ave S, and the two apartment complexes there, you want the one that is further south than the one behind byron's office. Its the one that is NOT blue.
