It wasn't right in front of the gas station, but on a side road near it. This is sad as he lost his dog in the RV and he was hurt, however, he is alive. It's not all fun and games or an adventure full of wonders in the boom area. Just a heads up for those living in campers to make sure they are inspected and in working order before you buy an used one or live in an old one that has been sitting for years. Idk, I am afraid that things like this will only get worse this winter.
Well, that's depressing. Wonder where he was from? Hope he recovers soon. Feel bad about the poor dog as well. It's a good reminder to be careful anytime we are lighting something that can be explosive. Thanks for the post Broncogirl.

I passed that on my way to drop my kids at daycare...it was still smouldering so I thought it happened later than that. Sad to hear the man lost his dog but I am glad he survived. Propane is no joke and can kill you easily if you make mistakes, I know from my own trip to the hospital. Sadly I don't think this is the last accident we will have this winter. Be safe people, check and double check your heaters before use.
I know I hate lighting my fridge in my camper myself, gives me that puckering effect. I hope he isn't burned or hurt too badly, my prayers to him and his family.
Broncogirl, have you heard how the injured man was doing? Last evening on the Minot news, they carried this story and they made it sound like his condition was pretty bad, verging on possibly life-threatening. Any updates from out your way?
I've checked all the local news stations, there hasn't been an official update to his status. The employee told the Herald that his injuries were not life threatening, but the police said they could be. I drove by it yesterday morning when I was on my way to work and I'm surprised he got away with his life, like Naelbis said it was still smoldering and it looked awful. I'm glad he's still alive though.
We can only hope for the best. I hate to see loss of life for whatever reason.
