Yeah it is, I miss the snow! Does make for nicer traveling though. Hopefully it will miss this area with the storm coming and scorpio will have smooth sailing.

You're probably better off. We have had several major crashes on the interstate just since yesterday because of this snowfall. The roads are pretty bad in several areas. Check your travel advisories all the way up. Elkhunter's thread about road conditions on the first page of N.D. forums is wonderful.

They were fighting grass fires south of Mandan yesterday. This morning 13" of snow in Carson (southwest of Mandan) and the interstate's closed from Mandan to Dickinson. Just a skiff of snow but continuous snow/ice on the highways up here in the NW corner. Things do change in a hurry.

Look for snow for most of the state arriving in the west Saturday afternoon-night and in the east late Saturday night and Sunday. 6-8 inches possible Fargo area to near Grand Forks.... with 4 inches most other places over northwest....central into eastern ND.

A system for tues night-wed may impact southeastern ND with additional snow.

I jinxed myself by posting that!

Leaving in next day or two. Although it turned out to be a good delay, bad weather here and there and then yesterday my truck dashboard looked like a Christmas Tree with all the warning lights... rather here than on the road.

I am writing this as I sit outside the AutoZone waiting for them to open.... gonna be a long day with me and my rig...

Well, hope you waited long enough to miss the weather we've had the last few days. Keep us posted on how you do and what you see in the patch.

Made it! After 2 weeks of delays and a break down in Clearwater MN I arrived at about 3pm. I'm staying in Sheldon ND while looking for work out west in the patch.

Tomorrow the job hunt begins in earnest! Thanks for the info and encouragement over last few months on the board here! I'll keep you all posted!
