If Target Logistics is hiring, I'd be willing to do that. I'm so happy that you didn't get caught up in the company I was about to work for.

This business out of Colorado I was about to work for but didn't has no links to jobs anywhere in the North Dakota oil patch nor information about their business anywhere on the web except for a simple website made from a freebie program. Think they have only been in North Dakota since late last year.
I want to say that when they emailed me the initial job offer, I was explicitly instructed not to say anything to other employees. Hmmm. . . .
Gotta be careful about small outfits that are popping up crew camps in places where they can get away with lack of local zoning, health and safety regulations. Also, I'd hate to see these shady companies stiff employees out of checks. Hopefully, that is not happening.

Wiscomtngrrl, well one thing that stuck out the most about one of your past posts in this thread, where you said that you found this job on Craigslist. When I first started looking for work about 2 years ago, I almost fell for several scams on Craigslist, that were all hiding in the "jobs" section. Then I went on to read some of the job hunting scams that went on there and I no longer look for jobs on Craigslist. Thank goodness, I never gave any of those companies that I was applying for, my personal information where they could steal my identity. Yet I do know that Craigslist gives people a warning about potential job scams, BEFORE they will allow you to click on the jobs section (in some cities). So the reader has advance warning that the jobs "that they are about to view" could be a scam. Now I pretty much stick to reputable websites like Monster.Com, as I never came across any fishy sounding job openings and nor have I ever come across any job openings that sounded too good to be true. Yet before I stopped looking for jobs on Craigslist, I must say I came across a lot of jobs that sounded too good to be true. Yet I'm glad that I gave up looking for jobs on Craigslist before I got wise to the scam jobs there and before I got taken. Yet I will never use Craigslist again as far as trying to find a job. Craigslist jobs are bad news to me, as far as I am concerned.

You know, that makes sense about Craigs List. Scams can run all over the country, but if you think about the Bakken Oil Patch where a year ago they said they had 7000 job openings, it kind of made it a target for scammer.
Good info to have.
