Rentals are hard to come by in Minot and pricey for anything decent. The school system is currently dealing with losing two schools completely in the flood but the district is pretty decent. Minot is all one school district if I remember correctly.

Yes, Minot only has one public school district. There are 2 private schools in Minot as well, both k - 12. Currently the middle school students who would have been attending the middle school that was flooded are going to classes at the Minot Auditorium. A new school to replace the middle which was flooded is in the planning stages. The other middle school is on the top of the south hill in Minot and was not affected by the flood. The other school which was lost was an elementary school, and the Head Start building was lost as well. Minot Public Schools are not any different than any other you may find anywhere in the country - over all, I think the kids come out with a good education.

Housing is a whole different issue, it's not easy to find a 'good rental'. I wish you the best of luck in your housing search.
