...a severe thunderstorm warning remains in effect for southeastern
sheridan...northwestern kidder and northeastern burleigh counties
until 715 pm cdt...
At 655 pm cdt...national weather service doppler radar indicated a
severe thunderstorm capable of producing large destructive hail up to
tennis ball size...and destructive winds in excess of 80 mph. This
storm was located 11 miles south of denhoff...or 44 miles northeast
of bismarck...moving east at 25 mph.
The severe thunderstorm will affect mainly rural areas of
northeastern burleigh...northwestern kidder and southeastern sheridan
counties.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
This storm has exhibited some weak rotation. Tornadoes can develop
quickly from severe thunderstorms. Although one is not immediately
likely...if a tornado is spotted...act quickly and move to a place of
safety inside a sturdy structure... Such as a basement or small
interior room.

the national weather service in bismarck has issued a
* severe thunderstorm warning for...
Eastern bottineau county in north central north dakota
this includes the city of bottineau
north central mchenry county in north central north dakota
* until 745 pm cdt
* at 655 pm cdt...national weather service doppler radar indicated a
severe thunderstorm capable of producing quarter size hail...and
damaging winds in excess of 60 mph. This storm was located near
newburg...and moving northeast at 40 mph.
* the severe thunderstorm will be near...
Roth around 715 pm cdt.
Souris around 720 pm cdt.
Carbury around 725 pm cdt.
This warning replaces the previous warning for this area.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A tornado watch remains in effect for the warned area. Tornadoes can
develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. Although not immediately
likely...if a tornado is spotted...act quickly and move to a place of
safety inside a sturdy structure...such as a basement or small
interior room.
If you are in the path of this storm...take shelter in a sturdy
building...and stay away from windows.
If you are in the path of this storm...prepare immediately for large
hail and damaging winds. People outside should move to a shelter...
Preferably inside a strong building and away from windows.

...red flag warning sunday west and far south central...fire
weather watch monday and tuesday west and far south central...
.for sunday...afternoon humidities 10 to 15 percent...combined
with very dry fuels and southerly winds to 30 mph...will result
in very high to extreme fire danger conditions across western and
far south central north dakota. A red flag warning remains in
effect for this area sunday.
Monday and tuesday...dry conditions continue with percent humidity
values in the teens expected over most of west and central north
dakota both days. On monday...westerly winds to 25 mph will
increase the potential for critical fire weather conditions over
portions of the west and south central where fuels are driest.
Uncertainty for monday continues on how strong the winds will be
at peak heating and the duration of the winds. For
tuesday...critical fire weather conditions are expected in the
wake of a strong cold front with winds up to 30 mph tuesday
morning and afternoon. Very high to extreme fire danger conditions
are expected west into far south central.
