Hi,
I'm moving to the Grand Forks/East Grand Forks area with my mother for my senior year. I really love Grand Forks Central High School in Downtown Grand Forks but because of the housing situation I may end up living in East Grand Forks; in Minnesota. Considering I'd still be really close, like five minutes, could I still go to Grand Forks Central for my senior year?

I live in EGF....good question. I know with private schools it is ok....for example with Sacred Heart, the area catholic high school....many folks from grand forks go there although the school is in EGF.

Let me check and see if I find out any info....

Dan

I read your question again.....and it sounds like you go to Central now....but may move over to the eastside. Being public school, I would think you have to go where your residence is. Do they make exceptions???? I would call the GF school district to find out.

Open enrollment into a district in another state is normally not allowed. In districts where states boundaries are overlapped (for example, Manvel ND students go to Oslo Minn for HS), it may be possible. Call the GF Central office.

If you have a relative in GF, it may be possible to use their residence as your address. Technically, you would need to live there.
