Default Networking for a job in North Dakota, I want to come home

Hello,

I am looking for good employers in North Dakota.

I have experience as a college instructor, educational web development, story development for video games, database management, and mediation.

Any leads, comments etc.. would be appreciated!

Peace!

To add to what Old Surrender posted, you could also try the following website if you have a particular area of North Dakota you are interested. Here you can search by
city/county too.

Job Service North Dakota - Job Seekers - Find a Job (broken link)

Good luck on your search!

Microsoft in Fargo is expanding their campus, looking to add jobs in the next year or so. Also I'm sure there are teaching jobs everywhere in ND if you have your credentials for that. Just depends where you want to live in ND.

Hi,

I relocated to ND in Mid-Sept 2007 (REALLY recently). My organization just hired someone like you, who was coming home.

Its possible that I might be able to help you. I wonder if there is a way for you to get a resume to me for me to forward to someone.

Also, please check out the following page Dickinson, North Dakota - Get your life back! as it is current.

What type of college degree do you have? Is there some way you can get me a resume? I'm not a joker, I really want to help!

Haven't heard from you in a while. Are you still interested in coming to North Dakota. Just north of Minot is the base. They are always looking for college instructors, the University of Mary. Once you get your foot in the door, you may beable to move to the University here in Minot. They are trying to expand their Computer Science and from what you have mentioned, you would be a top qualifier. Good Luck! ct

I've had a hell of a time finding a post college job. I moved and found an in between job in no time but I have had absolutely no luck career wise. I graduated last December with a B.A. in Communications (broadcasting concentration). I'm sure something will open up eventually.

I'm a college professor at the University of Mary - just got hired this year (music.) College teaching is one of the hardest jobs to get into - it's not like most fields where people are hiring all the time. Generally, you have to wait for a faculty member in your specific field to step down, get fired, die, or retire. Before moving to Bismarck, I was teaching part-time at the University of Georgia. I sent curriculum vitae out to about 40 jobs in all areas of the country and ended up here. (Don't get me wrong - I LOVE it, and it's turned out to be perfect for me.)

Point is, there's a pretty long and arduous process associated with finding a job in higher ed. Check out The Chronicle of Higher Education or Higher Education Jobs, Jobs in Higher Education - HigherEdJobs.com for job postings. Chronicle also has some great articles.
