Question Southwestern North Dakota

Does the North Dakota natural resources boom extend into southwestern ND or is it primarily northwest? Is there any activity near Bowman?

I believe there are some wells in Bowman county. Not sure if they are just exploratory, or oil producing. A map I've see of what is called the Williston Basin does extend as far south as North-Western South Dakota. But most work appears to be in the Tioga/Williston area at this time. That would be my best assessment based on the postings here. Hope this is of help...

Thanks for the assistance. I'll follow up on the Williston Basin lead.

Dan, I know Marathon oil opened up a regional office in Dickinson. They are drilling the Bakken formation in the Williston Basin through the western half (right now they are mostly in Dunn county) to the north of Dickinson. Like MikeyToo said, Bowman is also very active. So I don't think you would have problems finding an energy related job in SW ND either. The western edge of ND is pretty much tied together when it comes to oil workers and jobs. (if that is what you were looking at) You should check out both the Williston and Dickinson NDJOBSERVICE offices or go on line Job Service North Dakota
