I'm sure there's a lot of good places to eat in North Dakota and I haven't spent a lot of time there, but when I do go through there my favorite spot to eat at is Grizzlies in Jamestown.

Kings Food Host was in Minot too. Chees Frenchies were the best! (College days anyways.)

Try the Piroque Grill in Downtown Bismarck. Casual is fine. Very pricey, but worth it. Amazing food. Chef Stuart Tracey is very accomplished.

Default Good Eats in Rolette

The small town of Rolette is blessed with two restaurants that serve great food and even better prices!

Linda's (behind the Rolette Bar) is the locals' choice for breakfast and lunch (North Dakaotan's would say dinner).

George's (on Main Street) is a very popular dinner (sorry - supper) spot that attracts customers from all over north central NoDak.

The Wagon Wheel Bar is the place to party!

I remember the Gourmet House...I remember Willard Scott spotlighted it on the Today Show because of its famous Pecan Pie!!! Now it is a funeral home...pretty weird huh?

So I was at the Wood House with my son after wrestling practice tonight and happened to have my digital camera with so I took a few pics for those of you that were fondly remembering it. Of course it may look a lot different since the had a fire about 15-20 years ago and had to re-model some, but it stll looks mostly the same as when I started going there in the late 70's.

Hungry kid attacks a cheeseburger platter and cherry sprite float!

Maybe I can get some pics of big boy up some time.

My son is now officially addicted to this place. Every time we drive by he asks if we can eat there, he even chooses it over McDonalds!

Years ago I was in Moorhead on business. The motel clerk recommended Smokey's in West Fargo for dinner. It was great! Is it still there?
