Default Pisek ND

I am looking at a house in Pisek ND, and wondering what is in/near that city. Can't seem to locate it on the net so I am guessing its REAL small. What is the nearest town that would be found on city data.com? I tried Devils Lake but I am sure its too far from Pisek. Thanks

Pisek is in central Walsh County in northeast ND. Closest town of any size would be Park River just to its north...and then Grafton (county seat). Both Park River and Grafton are quite nice small towns....Grafton a bit bigger...around 5,000 people while Park River has about 1700. Pisek is listed with a pop of 173.

Nice farming area...Pisek and Park River lies at the edge of the Red River valley and would be in an area of some rolling hills...but area is mostly open farmland. Closest big city for main shopping, etc is Grand Forks where I live and work. Nice areas...anytime thinking of a small town such as Pisek consider you could be stuck at home for a few days in some winters due to blowing snow/bad roads so be sure you have enough food/water on hand and a generator wouldnt hurt.

Default Pisek

I am orininally from Pisek. It is a town of approx 95 people. Has the famous "JMart" -groceries, etc. large floor-covering business (family owned and operated for 60+years). Also there is a the "Top Hat" (bar/lounge & restaurant), an elevator, post office, Sr Citizens Center, and a Catholic church. There are a few homes for sale there...one is a very nice rambler on the NW part of town which is smaller but updated and on a nice lot. Pisek is located 1 mi E and 6 mi S of Park River. Blacktop Hwy. Pisek has city sewer and rural water, cable TV. etc. 20 mi SW of Grafton. 50 mi NW of Grand Forks. Quiet town with great people.
