I know a 23 yr old man with wife and child and no diploma. He is a great mechanic and can run a skid loader and a backhoe.
There is no steady employment in Kansas City for him. Do you think he would find work in ND?
What are the overall monthly living expenses in general?
Thanks in advance.

Perhaps out west as a roughneck. There is a desperate need for manpower out that way. However, no idea if they want someone with at least high school diploma. I know a lot of places do on-the-job training in the oil industry.
I'd check this site. JobsHQ | Your headquarters for hundreds of local jobs - including newspaper listings from four states - MN, ND, SD, WI. and look under jobs he may qualified for.
NoDak's a great state. I'm from Kansas City, too, looking to go back someday. But I like living here for now.

Thank you; Old Surrender. Kansas City is beautiful this time of year and the whole state as well.

Yes, I would say a good bet would be out west in the oil boom areas like Williston or Mountrail County.

I'm sure he would find work, in either Fargo or out west in the oil fields.
