Moving to Jamestown!!
So after much thought and looking around my family and I have decided to move to Jamestown. Well my wife and twin babies will be there next week, I cannot go until I get out of the Army. She will stay in a motel in Jamestown for about a week while we wait for a mobile home to be put in that we will hopefully be renting. I have checked a few motels and was wondering if anyone had anything bad to say about any of them. The Ranch House and the Budget Lounge are the cheapest so if anyone has any suggestions please let me know. Also, my wife will be moving there will nothing so if anyone can tell me a good place to find used furniture and household items please let me know, or if you know of someone who has stuff to get rid of ect. We are so happy to have found a place to start our new life. We are coming from Wisconsin and have had some troubles there with people, family, just the whole life there was getting annoying, so we are very excited to move. I am in Korea right now for maximum 10 more months and then I will be joining her. Anyways if anyone can help me out with any of my questions I would appreaciate it. Thanks!

As far as finding household stuff, does she have a way to haul things? If she does, join all the area Freecycle groups. Go to www.freecycle.com then go to North Dakota & join the ones for towns within however far she is willing to drive to pick up things. Once in a while someone may be willing to deliver if it's not too far or they 'REALLLLLY' want the stuff out of their home 'RIGHT NOW', but usually you have to pick up whatever items you ask for. You can also post what you're needing/looking for.
Good Luck!

Welcome to Jamestown. We do have an active freecycle. We also have a few thrift stores if you are looking for affordable used items.
You choice of hotels can not be much easier than reading:
Ranch House Motel, Jamestown Hotels : Reviews of Ranch House Motel - Yahoo! Travel
Not many reviews on the Budget, but a MUCH, MUCH better bet. When staying in any budget hotel, I always ask to see the room before renting.
Please be aware that there is a housing shortage here due to a power plant that is being build east of town. Make sure you can find housing suitable for your needs.

We have found a mobile home that is going to be put in soon, as for the freecycle, I cannot seem to figure it out, it just keeps going to other search pages, maybe I am doing something wrong? Thanks!
