Moving from the deep south. (Valley City, Enderlin: apartment, rentals, motel)

Hello A/all!!

My family and I are moving to ND on the second of September. We couldn't find a place to live from where we are, so are staying in a motel in Enderlin, ND for a month while I look for a job in and around Valley City, ND, as well as an apartment. I was wondering if Anyone has stayed at the Eagles Nest Inn/motel? That was the cheapest we could find, and I just wanted to make sure it wasn't the bates motel or anything like it. Also..does anyone know what I should do about Our 1st grade children in the month we're at the motel....i dont want to mess up they're school but if I dont find an apartment in Valleycity, or roundabouts....them going for a month and changing schools...again....would be not fun. One is mildly autistic and one has ADD and a mood disorder, as well as diagnosed with Opositional Defiance Disorder...if anyone knows what that is. Anyone know about what the schools offer with that?

Please...anything helpful would be soo much apreciated....oh btw...we're moving from very far southern Alabama...and I am from Michigan Originally.

If you go to the local grocery store in Enderlin, they know a lot of people who are renting. To give you an idea house rentals in Enderlin range from 350.00 to about 600.00. Valley City has more options. The local newspaper is called the Forum and you can browse the classifieds. One of the ads states 3-4 bdrm home reference req. phone # 701-845-0016 also another one thats says well kept 2 bdrm apart heat and water paid in Viking Manor phone # 701-845-8938 to leave a message. Hope this helps out a little bit. Moving always stinks. Good luck!!!
