Question The best schools in North Dakota

We are wanting to move our family out of trendy Bozeman Montana. Considering a move to North Dakota. Is Crystal Springs or some town near there a good place and how is the school system? Thanks for your time if anyone has an answer>

Not sure about Crystal Springs area, but here are some stats on North Dakota in general:

Ranks #2, behind Iowa in high school graduation rate at 88%.
For a state the is only ranked 11th as far as dollar amount spent per
student, the achievement rank is 9th. Yes, teachers in North Dakota
should be paid more $$$$. Helps to keep the good teachers home...
Good luck on your quest.

CRYSTAL SPRINGS?

Almost no one there. Closest town of any size would be Steele. I live in Jamestown (much larger 15,500) which is about 50 miles east.

You should really take a quick jaunt out this way to make a decision.

Jamestown has great schools (new high school, remodeled middle school), and soon a new hospital. New Wal-Mart Super Center.

Their are many choices in the public schools in Jamestown. Would anyone know which would be the best to go too. And does anyone out there send their kiddos to the private schools there?
Thanks everyone for your time. It's so refreshing to see how helpful people are!!

Corbay is your Jamestown expert...

I dont know much of the area of than what has been said...but since the town you mentioned is in Kidder county I assume you would go to K-12 school in Tappen ND. Medina ND has their own school district as well to your east in Stustman county.

Tappen Public School

You might be interested in weather out that way....North Dakota DOT does have several weather stations installed along major roads...and one is located at exit 231 at Media just to your east. It gives you the temp/wind update every 5-15 minutes.

You can use this link from NWS Bismarck to check local weather in eastern Kidder/western Stutsman counties...

Dog,
As far as grade schools go, the preferred ones are Gussner, Lincoln, or Louis L'Amour. We also have a Catholic grade school called St. John's Academey (but all faiths may attend).

Gussner is in the highest priced part of town. Lincoln close second. LL is the newest and smallest school.

Washington and Roosevelt are in the oldest and "poorer" section of town.

With that said; ALL of our schools are great, and we really don't have a bad part of town.

We only have one middle school, and one high school. The middle school is the former high school (which they remodeled), and then built a brand new high school on the North end of town (close to Gussner grade school).

Do you have a field of work you are looking for?

Thank you so much Corbay. You are a wealth of info. My huband flies helicopters for a living and does not really matter where we live so I'm looking for the best place to raise a family and have decent services plus good medical.
