Default Scouting out wahpeton

Will be coming up to wahpeton in may and staying for 3 months on temporary assignment....i'm looking for good place to live (no lease), fun things to do...i'm 20ish and outdoors type.....is there a large college age group of people to socialize with at clubs, bars, etc.??

i'm coming from urban area and from what i gather crime is not a major factor if at all??? kinda into boating and water sports, places close for this, under 1hr away???

any help at all would be appreciated

Plymn is on a distinguished road
I spent a couple of years in town when I was in my late teens. My mother still lives there and I get back a few times a year. Very friendly place. Wahpeton is a typical small town. I am sure you know it has a 2-year college but the students don't have much to do with the residents. There are bars and a multi-screen theater but not much for clubbing. May have to go to Fargo, 45 minutes or so away for that. The outdoor activites are another story. I enjoyed heading to the lakes most every weekend as a large percentage of the residents seem to do also. There are a lot of nice likes within an hours drive.

I'll be happy to tell you more if you have any additional questions.

You're pretty close to Lakes Country in Minn. So your outdoors activities will be covered.
As far as bar-hopping and clubbin' goes, no idea what Wahpeton has to offer. Downtown Fargo has a good nightlife, but it's 45 minutes away.
